Excellent lighting training guide, a pre-requisite book before anyone should get deeper into a cultivation project. Glad to see the author actually uses the correct charts because a lot of people use the incorrect ones to visualize color temperature / spectrum. You get a highly useful breakdown of the Electromagnetic Spectrum, Lux Ranges, and LED Color Temperatures (based on the Kevin Scale). Getting the correct lighting quality is very important, and choosing the right bulb, temperature and color makes all the difference in your yields.
The first part is very technical regarding lighting. Obviously whomever wrote this does know a lot about the science behind lights. Not really all that necessary to have but I suppose it lends to the validity of the author. The second part of the book was much more practical information and I found it very helpful.
I'm sure this is a great book but haven't utilized it's knowledge as yet... MO is way behind legalization... The last new prescription I got from big pharmaceuticals put me in ICU after only one capsule...
It's good, the author's experience shows through the content. This one's an introductory book that'll help you avoid A LOT of costly mistakes if you haven't done enough research on the best grow lights.
Good read if you want a nudge in the right direction in the difficult world of choosing what light works best for your application
