The pictures are beautiful. I have bought every Vive Le Color! coloring book to date. Even though the paper is still high quality, the entire book was not cut correctly so the right-hand side was sealed shut. It wasn't worth it to return it since it is such a low cost. Luckily I use to make greeting cards and used my paper cutter to fix the problem. Just want to bring awareness - instead of releasing so many books so quickly, maybe pay closer attention to the quality of the product.

I like the Vive Le Color! books for quick coloring projects with gel pens, pastels, and markers. I rarely use colored pencils with these because in most cases the details are too tiny to really get into with my pencils. The paper is good. The pages pull easily out of the book. All the images are one sided. The book itself isn't extremely study because of the glue binding but if you know that upfront you can just keep that in mind when using the bookIf you have fine motor skill issues this isn't the book for you.I will add pictures to this review as I complete them.

Lovely coloring book full of beautiful images of all types of flowers. And the thick pages prevent ink from bleeding through to the other page. "Vive Le color" is my absolute favorite line of coloring books!

Nice variety of flowers. Some repetition between Roses and this book. I had to buy all the Vive Le Color books, as I love the style so much. This definitely isn’t my favorite, but I’m glad I have it.

I didn't think I was going to like this coloring book. It's rather small, but the pictures are so enjoyable to color, I have enjoyed it so much.

After receiving just one of the Vive Le Color books, I immediately ordered all that Amazon had to offer...these books offer everything from the more simplistic patterns to the intricate ...a picture to match every mood...I highly recommend these books especially if you are on the go and like to take things like these with you

Beautiful drawings that the whole family lives to color. These "adult" books have really helped my kids to develop fine motor skills while having fun with their parents.

My second reading: 2017.I first read this in 1994, and I thought it was grand. That it made a good case too. Since then, however, author Graham Hancock has sort of one off the deep end. So, with my second reading, what would I find?I find Hancock's travelogues interesting. I find his analysis of sculpture at Chartres, his exegesis of the grail literature, and his reading of history reasonable, supportable, and interesting. I don't think he makes any logical leap too far. Is it a far-fetched theory? Sure. (But this is a book about an object most people would today consider a myth. Hancock himself thinks it's a magic box made with some unknown civilization's technology by Moses.)Spoiler. The theory is: (a) the Ark was spirited out of the Temple in the reign of evil Manasseh; (b) righteous priests took it to Elephantine Island in the Nile in Egypt, where a number of Jews were already living; (c) Josiah reorganizes Judaism and cleanses the Temple, asking the priests to return the Ark, but Jeremiah hints that it is gone; (d) in the 400s BC, the native Egyptians expelled the Jews from Elephantine, so the Ark was moved southward to the Lake Tana region of Ethiopia, where some Jews may already have migrated; (e) these Jews were the ancestors of the Falasha (black Jews) of Ethiopia, and later would influence the Judaic character of Ethiopian Christianity; (f) eventually, after some movements, the Ark ended up in Axum under Christian protection; (g) Knights Templar in Jerusalem, looking perhaps for the Ark, made contact with Ethiopian Christians, and traveled there to help the Christians fight Muslim invaders; (h) the Templars left Templar crosses across parts of Ethiopia, and left clues to the location of the Ark in the Grail literature of Wolfram von Eschenbach and Chrétien de Troyes.That, in some twists and turns, is the book. It makes good sense. The late Stuart Munro-Hay in The Quest for the Ark of the Covenant take some issue with Hancock's research and conclusions, but he does not offer a point-by-point demolition of Hancock's book. Like Munro-Hay, others in the scholarly community call it drivel, but Hancock does make some points that need consideration. For instance, the Templar–Ethiopia connection, the Grail–Ark connection, the Jerusalem–Elephantine–Falasha connection deserve more attention. I think, in most places, Hancock makes a good case.Some caveats. If you believe in the literal truth of the Bible, Hancock does not. He thinks the Ark is a magic box done with ancient technological trickery. (He doesn't come out and say it, but perhaps radioactive trickery.) You see the birth in this book of Hancock's later works. Hancock posits that Moses, as architect of the Ark (not God), was the inheritor of some advanced ancient wisdom from a lost civilization. Here he places it some place equidistant from Egypt and Mesopotamia and in the distant past. Later, beginning with Fingerprints of the Gods, he conjures up some Atlantis-like fallen civilization (first in Antarctica, and later elsewhere).A great page-turner for a non-fiction book, and well worth the cheap price you can probably find copies for.

I really liked this book, since I learned a ton of stuff. It is like a historical treasure hunt. There is a lot to say, but one thing that really stands out to me for modern implications is his commentary about what happened to the Templars. In fact, I sent this next paragraph to my friend after reading it:My Comment (to be read after the article...amazon wont allow links, but do an internet search for "Modern-Physics-and-the-Shamir.htm" and check the link on chabad dot org, then read the paragraph below):How was the Shamir utilized if it was alpha radiation? Meaning, the builders could not just hold it, right? Seems like they would have needed to construct a holder of lead or something. Because if you held it directly in order to cut stone, it would go right through your fingers...right?I have heard that the Knights Templar had the Shamir when they built the stone churches at Lalibela, Ethiopia in 1185-1209. See pages 155, 369-370 of "Sign and the Seal" by Graham Hancock. Since the Scottish Freemasons and Portuguese Order of Christ inherited anything left of the Templars (ibid, page 167), I suggest that one of these two groups (or both) may even today possess the Shamir. Maybe they are waiting for the appointed time to share this with the true builders of the Third Temple (T3).Also, check out "Temple" by Robert Cornuke for compelling reasons to suspect that T3 will not be on the Temple Mount, but in the City of David...where he believes T1 and T2 actually stood. This has stunning implications.

I first read "The Sign and the Seal" back in the really 90's and was just blown away. As an Orthodox Christian I knew roughly what Graham Hancock was talking about, but it was't until I read his book that my general understanding about the Journey of the Ark of the Covenant was clarified and a much bigger and clearer story of it's journey was established. Mr. Hancock presents a facts based evidence driven account of how the Ark of the Covenant went from Jerusalem, to Egypt and finally down to Ethiopia, and is currently revered and protected by the Holy Ethiopian Orthodox Church. I strongly recommend "The Sign and the Seal" for all who are interested in this story of of the Ark's journey, and the Providential Hard of God in protecting His Ark and placing it in the hands of Humble and Faithful servants down in Ethiopia.

This book was recommended to me prior to a trip to Axum, Ethiopia. To be precise, a senior executive of a successful Ethiopian business recommended it to me, saying: "If you read that book you will understand us." That was perhaps too optimistic, given how complex Ethiopian society is, but the book does explain a great deal about Ethiopia and some key aspects of Ethiopian identity.Meanwhile, archeology has moved on and some of Hancock's key assumptions -- most important that there was no advanced civilization in Ethiopia at the time of Solomon -- have been cast in doubt. Modern scholars now believe that the Sabean culture moved north from Ethiopia to Yemen, not the other way around. At all events, the great obelisks at Axum have been carbon dated to around 1,000 BC -- the age of Solomon. So there may be very much more to the Ethiopian legend than even Hancock suggests.The strengths of this book are Hancock's ability to describe Ethiopia -- its landscape, people and legends. For anyone interested in that fascinating country, it is well worth the read, and the entire search for the Ark of the Covenant becomes secondary.

Too much genre fiction these days focuses more on being “dark and edgy” rather than simply telling a good story. Along those same lines, the joy of reading for the sake of entertainment and FUN seems to get more and more difficult all the time. Well, thank GOD for Michael-Scott Earle. Not since my early teens, when Edgar Rice Burroughs swept me away to Barsoom have I so thoroughly and completely enjoyed myself reading a sci-fi/fantasy novel. Tamer is a novel (series) that will appeal to readers who want to be thrilled, entertained, amused, and satisfied. Is the humor and the sex sometimes juvenile? Absolutely. Am I, as a 45 year old, married, educated, working professional still oftentimes juvenile as all get out? Damn right I am. This novel is part Sharknado, part Jurassic Park, and part Late-Night Cinemax....but what is suprising in the most pleasant way, is the fact that Earle isn’t a hack. He’s an extremely talented writer who throughout this novel displays an impressive understanding of pacing, characterization, and frankly, gives us an embarrassingly accurate portrayal of the modern-male psyche. It’s a freaking romp. Fun, fast, and just a good time. Highly recommended.

"Tamer: King of Dinosaurs" is a exciting new series with great characters, a compelling world building and resource management take on survival, and a bit of mystery in the "why are we here and who brought us?" category. I especially like how the MC , Victor, rises to the challenge of leadership when his own past is mostly about being a nerd and misfit, looking in at the "cool crowd" from the outside. I found myself rooting for him and his "tribe", even a particularly difficult raven haired gal.Highly recommended and impatiently awaiting the next installment!!! (Yeah, I really enjoyed one)

I finally finished Tamer a few hours ago; it was a manly read. But using peanuts as a frame of reference to describe how massive alien ants were may have ruined peanuts for me LOL. I loved the story, though. It may be because i’m a Harem genre fanatic. But you have women, wildnerness survival on another world, and dinosaurs. If that sounds attractive you should read this book.

You know, sometimes you just need a bit of silliness and TAMER: KING OF DINOSAURS is just that. It's a story about a unlucky every dude from the Animal Control Department who gets transported to a LitRPG world based on Jurassic Park and Conan. There, he hooks up with three gorgeous alien women who fall in love with him for equal parts the fact he's a likable enough guy and the fact he's the only male sexual possibility for possibly a billion lightyears (our sight of the only other man on the planet indicates this a planet of raging misogynists so he has that going for him too).There's a difference between male fantasy and misogyny, this being born of the fact it's perfectly okay to be a guy who likes sex and actively seeks it versus a guy who does it because he's really angry or dismissive of women. Surprisingly, Tamer: King of the Dinosaurs falls on the former path as our protagonist even calls out dudes who lie to their partners or cheat on them.Yes, this is a book about our guy with the power to control dinosaurs winning over three women (a succubus, a woman of living rock, and a cheetah-woman so there's some questions about the physics involved on my part) but I don't see any problem with that. Fantasies are fantasies and certainly there's nothing harmful about it. I also like how each of the romance options has issues related to romance with one from a free love world, one from a matriarchy, and one from a patriarchy where she's already married.Honestly, my least favorite part of the book is the fact a lot of time is spent on describing building a shelter in the jungle world like it's Robinson Crusoe. I could have done less with that as it occupies a huge chunk of the book.8/10

Well, if you read a lot of sci-fi/fantasy you run into a few tales of "man from Earth snatched and put on a new planet.". It's a basic plot, but can be stretched many ways once you have the initial idea.Tamer: King of Dinosaurs takes that basic premise, adds some LitRPG aspects as each character gets their own unique power, and then generates a surprisingly fun survival tale out of the pieces.I did have some issues with the fact that Michael-Scott Earle likes to have his male characters notice female beauty, but then go into pages of soliloquy as to why they can't be with the women, it shows up here a couple of times (more in book 2) and its less than fun.The rest of the writing was very good and the story developed in an interesting way. It doesn't end at the end of the book, but I didn't feel cheated when I reached the ending.

Awesome read. Like the gamer element, as well as the character development. Victor is a character I can definitely empathize with! The rest of the characters don't feel like fillers, they pretty much all together make up the main character :) Part of me wishes that the "kidnapping" had been fleshed out a little more, but then I really fits the concept of the story, the not knowing. Was one of those cover to cover reads for me, much to the frustration of my wife LOL. Highly Recommend

Volume 5 is my favorite thus far; as stated above and elsewhere, you get two things out of reading this volume in particular: one, the bastard is indeed insane, but more surprisingly he is a sensitive sort. After the sensitively introspective one-off issues at the beginning of this volume, it jumps into the story of Spider's vendetta against a police cover-up of a hate crime. His passion and anger at the force's coverup lends some moments of sensitivity and humanitarianism, and some of hilarity monstering, as Spider yet again goes balls deep on uncovering the truth. The series' plot really takes off here, particularly at the end of Lonely City vol. 3, where the plot against the Smiler really begins to take shape.Great stuff; this one's real good. I've long wanted to get into comics but found the superhero thing quite cliche. Transmetropolitan is pretty much boss, and I for one think everyone remotely interested in comics - specifically of the humans-being-humans variety - should be all over this series. Be sure to tell anyone that wanes at the Vertigo label that this was the good one from the short-lived imprint. Expect some resistance from those who know Vertigo though. ;)

Transmetropolitan is one of my favorite graphic novels. Seriously. If you like dark humor and weird future stuff, this is a great choice.

My favorite sci-fi story and comic character of all time.

Another great installment in this series.

I ONLY wish it did not wrap up as a series. Spider Jerusalem. Uncompromising. Incomparable. In YOUR face!!! Haha ha ha ha.....

I absolutely LOVE Transmet! Hunter S. Thompson meets Bladerunner! I highly recommend this book!
