Amazon Description was lacking, blank note pages divide the months. It is a thick calendar, if you want for notes, this calendar is for you. No holidays listed, which should be listed in description. I really just wanted a calendar, not a journal. Would not buy again.

I received my planner today and was very disappointed. It truly is like a big paperback book. When you open the pages it's like a book...the pages don't lay flat to make it easy to write. I'll need to bend down each page which will probably damage the spine. As you go through the planner, you have a two page monthly spread. There are no holidays marked. After each month you have THREE pages for notes before you get to the next month.I would never buy this again.

Cute planner. Thick paper. Lots of room for notes. Love this calendar/planner so much!

Otherwise we'll see. The cover art is good but inside plain black and white.

I LOVE this planner. The spaces on the Monthly are large enough to write in several things. I DIY this every year! I ordered and took it to my local office supply store where they cut off the spine. I laminate the front and back cover, add my personal inserts, and then have it spiral bound back together. It lasts me all year and I have work, home and church planned all in one place...Love the bold colors on the cover and because its a sturdy book to begin with, when I laminate it , justs makes it last even longer! Great seller, good deal!

What an inexpensive alternative to a name brand deluxe planner! I use this as my budget planner. The 4 blank pages every month allow me to keep tables with Sinking Funds, Fix Expenses and my Category spend. Love it. I would give it 5 * if it came with monthly tabs and wire binding. I am buying it again next year :) ..nice size 25 x 20 cm and beautiful cover !

Very nice for the price. Think it will hold up (pages won't fall out!) There are several lined pages between each 2-page layout month. I'd rather the note pages were all in the back. Also, there are any holidays listed. But I'd buy again for sure.

We use this for our homeschool geography curriculum. This book is not too in-depth but is still quite good at covering each topic and giving a small accompanying assignment. They read one page on the topic and the next page asks them questions or has them do a worksheet or small assignment about the topic that relates to the text they just read.Spectrum's other books: the science books are great for topic starters but know that you'll need to supplement to reinforce the concept. I DO recommend Spectrum's Writing and Language Arts book, too. We also use them and those particular books are really great. Keep in mind that supplements might be necessary depending on your child and how well they grasp and retain the concepts from the start.

I've been using this series (reading and writing mainly) with my esl son for several years and they are very good. We don't have anyone who speaks english around us so we do these books daily.Progressive language and grammar is helping him learn to read and write without too much hassle. He is interested in the stories, and right now, very interested in geography and land formations. So this is perfect.

I think that this book was more in depth that what they teach at the public schools at his grade level. The book has a lot of map and legend problems.

Joe Upton's experience from a small boat is nature in your face and will keep you on the edge of your seat. The book is full of great pictures and maps showing Joe's cruising routes during his 7 month season of fishing. This book gave me an education on what to expect cruising the Inside Passage which I want to do someday in a small boat. Anyone who wants to know more about the Inland Waters will love this book. Someday a movie will have to be made about this true story. Thank-you Joe for writting this book... it is a classic of history.

I felt, sort of, like seeing a very loved movie which I used to watch again and again on an antiquated VCR and a 14" monitor, for the first time in the dazzling resolution of blueray disc on a huge monitor... seeing so much more than I ever saw, only better. If you are a parent like me, willing and able to open your heart and mind, this is book is a very special treat that can make you feel connected to yourself, to accept the otherwise hidden beauty of wispy moments of daily reality, and admire being a human. If you are not a parent, there is still tons of exquisite play of color, composition, light and delightful depictions of otherwise seemingly mundane moments... This book makes me able to see things in slow-motion. I love it.

I find myself very fortunate to be familiar with Elinor Carucci's work for the past few years. Having the ability to see this very intimate portrait of a mother in her most honest and raw moments with her children is a gift. What might seem provocative or even shocking to some, manages to make me smile. The images show in my opinion, the most intimate fraction of a second where a true dynamic comes to light. I would like to applaud Elinor and all of the members of her family who made this work come together. To me it all seems like a beautiful family collaboration.

Uncommonly close, a shared intimacy unlike others in the genre- Mother , is one step closer into Elinor's life, it's not a display of intimacy but proximity that is pulling the viewer in. It is common to say that photography has a distancing effect, and that people are often being portrayed as the Other through photographs , but not in this unique book ( and other works by Elinor). The photograph becomes a shared space for an intimate encounter with motherhood, it's not an invitation for a display but rather an invitation to participate in the excitement of those moments portrayed in the book

The content in this book is incredibly disturbing. More than half of the picture are of nudity, a mother naked with her children even as they grow older. Images of a naked woman with stitches after her c-section, a naked pregnant woman on a toilet, a close up of a kids nose with snots, a boy peaking in his mothers underwear, with clear images of what he sees, an image of a woman's nipple's sticking out of a nursing bra. This images are "raw" in a disturbing way, without any beauty. It portrays motherhood as a painful, unsatisfying journey. Images of children are of them fighting, or crying. I received this book as a gift, was so disturbed when I saw the images and immediately returned it. If anyone came over and saw this book they would think we had some weird issues.

This was a good read for me. Quite eye opening...At the time I was going through a transformation in my life. Jaded by Dogmatic religions and feeling like Frederich Nietche this gave me a new sort of approach to bettering myself mentally physically as well as spiritually . I now know how to heal my body mind and spirit and keep myself on a better path. Truly inspirational book... made me begin researching a lot of holistic medicine, get away from prescription drugs. Distancing myself from toxic people and situations. And even meditating or simply taking a 10 minute rest from the rat-race really does amazing things. (slight personal digression there ;) Deepak goes at life from every conceivable angle (Sciences of Psychology and Medicine as well as spirituality {more so than typical religious dogma} Keep an open mind when you read this one and you can get a lot from it.

Like most of us, I've seen Mr. Chopra on CNN. He's well spoken for sure, but I wasn't particularly interested in reading any of his books.Then I attended my first Science & Nonduality conference and witnessed Mr. Chopra deliver a knockout talk in 16 minutes.I searched online for the books he's written and I found this one: THE SEVEN SPIRITUAL LAWS OF SUCCESS. Integrating success with spirituality is a subject I'm very much interested in, so I got this book and read it in a matter of days.From all the 7 laws outlined in the book, The Law of Giving resonated the most. This chapter alone made the entire book a worthwhile read.I also found the Law of Pure Potentiality very interested. The remaining 5 laws were also intriguing, but not all of it worked for me.Each chapter has steps to follow, but I feel Mr. Chopra sometimes goes to extremes by suggesting these steps be practiced all the time. I recommend starting with baby steps and moving on from there. That way, expectations can be met with less of a chance for disappointment.I highlighted many passages through this book. There are precious gems everywhere.THE SEVEN SPIRITUAL LAWS OF SUCCESS is a quick and easy read and I recommend it to anyone interested in more from life than just material success.

Its disguised as a diet book, but in reality its a book about self "fufillment". Like I'm sure so many people in the world do, when they get stressed, they turn to food.This book opened my eyes to the habits that probably 90% of people do. Instead of eating to fufill a need, because we're bored, angry, tired, or depressed, Deepak tells you to take a step back, take a deep breath and do some soul searching "what do I really want with my life?" .Don't get me wrong there's plenty of diet advice.... Deepak gets you to be aware of what you eat, and that you're allowed to eat crappy food every once in a while. Cold turkey NEVER works when dieting, it only leads to crash and burn.Overall amazing book and made me buy some of his other work.

Kindergarten-Grade 2–Here's a fresh approach to fractured fairy tales: take one small child's insatiable demand for Just one more story and add a sleepy parent's wish to get the bedtime ritual over with as quickly as possible. The result is this collection of eight condensed folktales. For example, Goldilocks and the Bears begins, There were some bears;/It doesn't really matter how many./There was a bunch./Let's get to the point: and ends, When the bears came back,/They found her asleep./She woke up, screamed, and ran home/So she could sleep in her own bed./Just like you. A few nursery rhymes (Hickory, dickory, dock,/A mouse ran up the clock./The clock struck eight./Oh, my, it's late!/So the mouse went straight to bed) and jokes round out the book. Blitt's ink-and-watercolor illustrations are amusing, with fine lines and soothing colors underscoring the comedy in the characters and situations. The cover shows an intensely alert toddler on the lap of a sleeping father, surrounded by several dozing characters (Goliath sucking his thumb, for example, and Red Riding Hood conked out next to the wolf dressed as Grandma). Reading at bedtime to his kid, who refuses to fall asleep, a desperate dad shortens the old stories, twists the nursery rhymes, and adds his own messages (" Why are you still awake?") in hilarious, short, fractured fairy tales and verse. On each spacious double-page spread, Blitt's cartoon-style, line-and-watercolor pictures are both beautiful and funny, whether depicting the mayhem of the "Two Little Pigs" or the cozy view of Dad surrounded by books, desperate to get his sweet kid to sleep so that "everyone could live happily ever after." As the parent gets more exhausted, the stories get shorter, angrier, and wilder (when all those kids in the shoe won't go to bed, the old lady sells them to the zoo). The triumph of the child who refuses to bow to authority will appeal to preschoolers, and so will the loving bedtime scenes. I got this for my seven year old niece and she loves it. She made me re-read it to her the first time she heard it.

We (the parents) get a real kick out of this book. I bought a copy for my neices just to humor my brother when he reads to them.

Our secret is out! We thought we were the only people who cut words out so the stories would go faster, but apparently not! The result is some hysterically mangled little classics (like the "two little pigs", and "there were some bears, it doesn't matter how many"). The first time we read this, I laughed myself silly. My kids aren't old enough to get all the jokes, but love it just the same. A winner---I'm buying more copies to give as gifts to some other parents who (some nights) struggle through too many bedtime stories...

This is such a fun book. I'm surprised it's not an immediate classic. It's funny -- really funny. Adults will love it, as will kids. Definitely a sophisticated book.

This is our favorite bedtime story. It is fun and witty. It is a book parents really enjoy reading to their children. Every parent can relate to the exhausted dad trying to shorten stories to get his child to bed. I keep copies on hand always, because we give this book as a gift at almost every birthday party and baby shower that we get invited to. You can't go wrong with this funny and fun to read book.

Purchased as a gift after seeing a copy a friend had. Enjoyed laughing at how compactly the stories are told. Thought it would be fun for when a child asks "Just one more story... please..."
