Basically a rebadged book with the parts pulled from other books of his. But a good, basic overall reference for the branches mentioned. Troiani is a master at this and does a great job with his artwork of showing men and uniforms not seen any other way.

Great illustration, left me wanting more...great copy, lots of information, especially on Partisan cavalry units, that I did not have much info on. Great book, good read!

This book did not dissapoint! I have been following this family from the beginning and they never cease to amaze me. They are straight ca-Ray-zay, but I love them and the children are definitely following in their parents footsteps. To get the full effect of this story, go back and read her other books first. Then, thank me later :)

I didn’t like Persephone for Legend I skipped mostly when I saw her name. He took a bid for you. You kept a secret, you didn’t wait for him or did nothing in my eyes to be forgiven and yet he forgave her? I don’t like Hades for Loyalty. I literally skipped to the end to leave this review. I can’t read a book if I can’t get into liking the people in the book. I skipped to the part when legend and Tinka left the club and u know what. I was pissed that they hooked up. If this not the only book I will not be reading the next.

It is so good when you can a peak at the characters you loved from previous stories but it is even better when you get to see their children lives unfold.This was such a good story especially when you get to see how Legend and Tinka handle being back in one another's life.I also love that we get to see Hades and Lolo as young adults.I love that these are young people trying to handle day to day while trying to hold the streets down.This was just plain good with not a lot of drama but just enough to take you there.This story ends on a cliffhanger with a lot of unanswered questions.So of I was you I'd stay tuned to the next installment.

Girl you got my blood pressure going through the roof with this one right here. Chapter 19 and 20 tho got me on edge like I need to know what happened. I was scared as hell when Tinka was "Kidnapped" I'm like omg its bouta be blood shed everywhere! I was crying right along with Mama Lo especially when Legend was yelling at her. Hades lil fine ass making me mad hopefully in part 2 he redeems himself.

Just when you thought they was gone bam they back with a flame behind them. I can’t believe she really pregnant and on top that by Hades. They parents are going to have a fit and somehow I feel it’s go come out how legancy took that charge for Tinka.Tinka, oh how I hope they Make it. To much is going on but something tells me it’s finna be a war and streets go feel the clan. Come on part 2!!#0850

I loved this book from beginning to end I enjoyed it, even though I was left weak in the knees. Legend and Tinka, Hades and Loyalty, Kela and Hiro are all beautiful couples to me and Yolan deserves his special someone maybe the THOT of the year could settle down with her own man and stop going after her nieces man (Phae) if she don’t die first messing with Tinka she just might though😂🤣All I can say is good job Nett I love reading about this family and the kids man they are the best ever as far as the books go but them little rascals are bad😂🤣

Oh how I love Logan and Tate. Their relationship is never boring and this installment had everything the previous book Tease lacked. Five books in and I found new sides to Logan and Tate. They keep evolving as people and in their relationship.Their love and chemistry is so palpable and is just one of the things I love about this series. Also their trust and how comfortable and supportive they are of one another is heartwarming and so beautiful.Tate's family and he and Logan's friends play a central role in Tate and I enjoyed every moment. They also show how important they are to Logan and Tate and vice versa. I have to say that Tate's father Will, his friendship with Logan definitely made me emotional because of the lacking father figure in Logan's life.Logan and Tate have been together for a long time now, 4 years, and now they're both feeling content and secure in their relationship. I was eagerly awaiting the next step and I wasn't disappointed. I expected a conflict cause I needed some light angst and I got it. It only made me love these men even more to feel and watch them fight for their relationship.The ending only left me wanting more and in a positive and exciting way. I think I can't hide how much I love Ella Frank's boys Tate and Logan. They are so very special, each in his own way. I was really excited to find out how Logan would explore these new thoughts about his relationship with Tate.The first sentences of the story say it all and it's pretty much the central theme of the whole book:IT WAS STRANGE how a life could change in the blink of an eye. How someone’s perception of things could alter in a nanosecond due to one look or word depending on the mood or the timing, or even the person they were with. And sometimes, when that happened, there was no explaining why. It just… happened.This not only explains why Logan changes his mind but also why the author chose to change the path for her characters. They are on the brink of starting a new chapter.In the newest installment we see a little more angst and a lot more emotional scenes. There is no doubt that Tate and Logan have changed each other's life for the better, that they enrich each other's life. You think they are as solid as they can be and nothing can disrupt their state of bliss. And even when there is discord you have that absolute trust in them that things will be OK in the end. There is so much love that it can't be any other way.Not only Logan explores his new feelings toward their relationship, Tate also has to re-think a lot of what he thought was a given and he has taken for granted so far. I felt for both of them, how they both struggled with all the new influences and situations. I wanted to hug them so bad. Logan in particular, who is always the most beautiful when he bares his soul. His snark and sarcasm are my second favorite thing about him. Tate's anguish was hard to watch, he had a tough time figuring out how to work through all the new situations - but as I said, you trust in their love being able to overcome anything.We get to hang out with the whole gang and we get a little more of Priest and Robbie and how their relationship hasn't improved. I am really looking forward for their personalities to crash into each other. There is a lot of hate-lust going on.Robbie is coming back to his old sass which I loved to see. I actually like him now better than in the first installments because you can see a little bit maturity come through. There is also a tentative friendship developing between him and Tate, which I thought was lovely.This definitely is Ella Frank's best installment so far and together with Trust the most emotional one. She shows us a bit of a different Tate and a solid Logan and a lot of mutual love and understanding between them. I adore their relationship so much, their connection and how they just work.I can't get enough of Ella's boys and it will be bittersweet to say goodbye to them when the next book will be out in January 2018. Until then I'm holding on to the warm fuzzy feeling she left me with.

I've just received this book, and I must say I'm so very impressed. I also own John's book Win32 Core API (win 2000 Edition). I found the Core API reference to be only barely what I needed, it was dealing with fairly advanced topics, and gave a scattering of information I actually needed.But This book, the Shell API has everything I ever wanted in a Delphi Win32 API reference. This is a fabulous reference indeed. Using Win API functions some times can be easier to impliment than understanding complex Delphi structures, and some don't offer the flexibility you want, and others suffer from speed in the translation between Delphi and API. This book shows you very well how to put that "one little add on" into your Delphi Applications you need to make it work the way you want, without having to muddle things up with a huge component of which you only need one part.This book also deals with the basics, explaing the ideas of programming API in Delphi, explaining the basics of fundamental things like Callback Functions as well as the basics of handles, constants and strings in Windows, even a bit on Unicode.It has sections on:Window Movement functions, with everything you ever wanted to do to a window in one line or less Windows Information Functions, with wonderful calls to obtain information on the status or information of any window, including Setting parent and so on.File IO, while Delphi handles File IO well, this excels at finding the information on the information in Files, including flushing file buffers, on change notifications, Locking files, and so on.Input Functions: A rather bare bones section o n getting data from windows (carets, cursurs, etc), Mouse joystick, and Keyboard data. This offers Everything you could possibly ever need to create Icon's on the fly, setting the cursor, hiding the caret and more.Help Functions: Explains the WinHelp architecture, shows how to create an HTML help file.Shell File Functions: This, is why you should buy this book more than anythihng else. The information in here is extensive Dealing with all kinds of storage, streams and so on in a Delphi manner (streams were always oddly implimented in Delphi to me).Shell Folder Functions: Another Must Have, this is just fabulous stuff including querrying the Recycling bin, browsing for folders, getting settings of folders, and so on.Shell Extension Functions: Teaches you the basics, URL hooking, copy, shell executing, Drag-Drop handling, and more.Specialized Shell Functions: From control panel message handling, writing control panel applications, application bars, and more.INcluded is also a very helpful reference of all the windows Data Types, as well as a total Virtual Key code chart (very helpful), and something called the Tertiary Raster Operation Code Chart, which I don't know what it is, but hey it's extensive as heck!Well worth the money, this is a must have book. Should have been published BEFORE the Core API book in my opinion, but the wait was well worth it.Ed Williams

This is a great book for Delphi programmers as the Win32 Shell API functions and procedures are discussed using Delphi, not C. I have only used the book once so far and that was to enable my Telephone Card Index program to send commands via the serial port to cause the telephone to dial the telephone number of a person in my Telephone Index. That way, I don't have to look at my Card Index while manually dialing the number myself.

well defined, great examples

Imposing as the material in this book might otherwise be, I am most impressed with the clean authorship of the material. This book is more than a developer can reasonably hope for in a source reference. I expected to have to give maybe 10 days' time to absorbing it cover to cover, but it is written so well that most chapters require reading less than a page describing the chapter; and the rest of the material can simply be used. So full of treasure is this book that I spent hours the first evening just typing code into projects. All of it ran right the first time. I doubt a better book can be written on this subject, and will from here on consider any book with John Ayres' name on it the one to look at first on whatever the topic. A huge thanks to you John for doing your work so well. You made ours' far easier than we imagined.

I suppose it was just bad luck that the first API (ReadDirectoryChanges) I needed help with wasn't in this book. I ended up spending some time searching the news groups to get more information. Seems like ReadDirectoryChanges should have been included in a book that has been described as the "definitive reference for the Win32 API"... A bit disappointing.

I could say 5 Stars and it would be all what to say - but if you are not shure, what a type of book to choose that would be to few. Well I have this book for a long time and it is my bible. It is very practice indeed and close to the problems. My own projects have gone much more easier to solve. My own focus is on automation sectors and so I did some work for automating rs232 driven radio controls for hobbie and HAM- interested people. If you are interested in it so you can look at my website [...] - looking to results from which I can say are a lot of ideas from John Ayres Tomes of Delphi - I rating it 5 Stars.

This is a good book on Win32 APIs. I wish there was an update for Win64 APIs.

everything you need (except where to get seeds or seedlings) -- and a great classification scheme in terms of water needs.

This book caught my attention because it's not easy to find books about tropical plants that are not just beautiful photos or advise about how to have them indoors; that's nice, but I need more practical information about how to have tropical plants outside, in their environment, because I'm a novice gardener who lives in Puerto Rico. When I received the book I couldn't wait to get into it, and I have to say that I'm very pleased with the content. It's concise, organized and very easy to use, and if you need more infomation about a particular plant, at least you have it identified, so it's easier to search in additional sources (i.e. internet). In fact, that same day I identified a plant that I thought was just another weed in my yard with a very atractive flower, but actually it is a non-invasive groundcover (that explains why it doesn't have spread all over the yard). So, although I'm on the opposite side of the planet where Hawaii is, I can say I'm already using this book a lot, and enjoying it!

This book is not worth the money they are getting for it. Do yourself a favor and browse through it at a bookstore first or even your library, then make a decision. To the point Minimal information, 1 3/4 inch photos at best(looking like lab students took the photos for a project), and just maybe the information was gathered in a field trip and the Scientific names taken from their text books. Giving the book 4 or 5 stars, you can relate it to people who are very satisfied with their Internet Speeds (Dial Up/DSL) compared to those that have cable internet speeds... If you don't know what that means, then buy the book and enjoy it. I just think this book could have been presented much better with larger photos, in real life situations limiting it to 2 plants per page rather than the 5 plants and 10 pictures per page for most of the chapters.I am a graduate of the School of Trop AG at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I have the same B.S.Degree in Horticulture as the professor who wrote this. I had already graduated by the time the writer taught at the UH.

It is not the book I was looking for! It is my fault, I ordered wrong book. this book is more information about the plants than how to design a garden.

I bought this book a few years ago for my parents' second home in Panama, so we could identify and choose plants, trees, palms we wanted for landscaping their new home. It's been a great resource and I haven't found others that compare. I like the simplicity of the layout, the necessary information provided for choosing the right plants, and the photos. (Be sure to look inside) I'm now buying another copy to give to our nursery owner/friend Lulu in David for her help and perhaps as a guide to show her other customers.

This book is fascinating, beautiful, easy to find things, absolutely a WONDERFUL book ! The plants are broken down by sections - shrubs, vines, trees, etc. The photos are absolutely gorgeous! I will have this book forever and my guests will enjoy looking through the book and identifying the plants we have here at home. (I live in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands)

An excellent resource for gardening in tropical climates. Having lived in Hawaii and now in Mexico, I find that most of the recommendations are applicable in both locations. Also, beautiful pictures.
